WASHINGTON, DC: Elon Musk has responded to the backlash against his Tesla electric vehicles sparked by his far-right political role in the Trump White House by launching a new model.

Musk today unveiled the new Tesla Hitler (main picture), defiantly declaring he couldn’t care less if it continues to leverage public sentiment against him and his political views and roles.

A public salute by Musk that some interpreted as a sieg heil led to activists in London slapping stickers on Tesla vehicles calling them swasticars. (pictured).

“I have always been the sort of guy who does the unexpected,” Musk explained. “So when people expect me to be concerned about the downturn in sales for Teslas, they need to know that I’m not.

“Who else in the world can drop 10 or 20 billion dollars and not raise a sweat?

“I see the current public discussion about me and the cars I build as an opportunity to capitalise on and create a whole new market segment with an entirely new Tesla model.

“The new Tesla Hitler has a distinctive exterior paint job and the driver’s compartment, or wolf’s lair, has its own distinctive features and fittings (below) which really set it apart from the other vehicles in the Tesla range, including a new high-powered Aryan-conditioning system.

“Another innovation is the new lighting system I’ve developed. The Hitler has a total lack of LED lights which have in recent years become a fixture on all other new cars.

“Instead I’ve developed a lighting system based on the same technology used in neon advertising signs which gives illumination to everything on the road from A to Z, so I’ve called it neon-azi.”

Mr Musk said the new Tesla Hitler would initially be available for purchase or order only at the new White House Tesla showroom at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC.

STOP PRESS: Musk overnight has announced that the Hitler will shortly be available as a hybrid model, meaning it will have a petrol tank, or as Tesla’s vehicle-design engineers term it, a gas chamber.
