Just under a week ago our Media Glass House researchers were shocked and alarmed at something they read in the far right-wing Murdoch media’s far right-wing national broadshit The Australian.

There on the front page was the start of a news story which told the paper’s reader: “Donald Trump has been warned against appeasement of Russia after opening negotiations to end the war in Ukraine….”. (below)

The story continued on an inside page with the warnings coming from Ukraine’s ambassador to Australia, former Liberal Party defence minister Linda Reynolds, and a US academic specialising in warfare.

Our MGH teams were alarmed because, as they explained, no US President in more than a century needed to be given any such warning.

The 47^th President being reminded not to cave in to a bloodthirsty and corrupt tyrant like Vladimir Putin is not something any of his Republican or Democrat predecessors required.

Our MGH researchers also pointed out that the far-right Donald Trump is in a position – ie: in the White House – to give Putin all the Russian leader wants in any “peace” deal because of people like the far-right Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch who run the far-right organisation behind the far-right The Australian and the far-right Trump cheer squad in the US otherwise known as Fox News.

It was the two Murdochs – as the massive defamation payout they were required to make to a US voting machine firm showed – who looked the other way and kept raking in the dollars when Fox embraced and promoted Trump’s “I was robbed” bullshit after the 2020 US election that helped set him up to win in 2024.

It is suckholes like The Australian’s former US correspondent Adam Creighton (below) who regularly and obediently echoed Trump talking points before and during the 2024 election.

It is The Oz’s foreign editor Greg Sheridan who has also boosted, excused, and enabled Trump in line with the Murdochs’ profits-before-democracy mandate.

Even in the same edition as the story carrying the warnings to Trump about appeasing Putin, Sheridan was – to use a technical term favoured by our MGH teams – weak as piss on Trump’s tactics.

“It’s very unclear that this is the best way to optimise Ukraine’s position or Western strategic interests,” Sheridan wimpishly wrote.

He has form in propping up Trump when it comes to handing corrupt criminals masquerading as world leaders whatever they want.

Yes, Trump is set to give war criminal and bloodstained genocidal maniac Benjamin Netanyahu all that we wants – a Gaza free of all the Palestinians he hasn’t yet killed – and Sheridan sees a “clever” play.

Sheridan has even managed to fulfil a key News Crap Australia KPI by attacking the Albanese Labor Party Government for supposedly not responding correctly (ie: falling in line in the grovelling far-right style) to Trump’s dangerous madness. (below)

Which brings us to today and Trump’s latest blatant and delusional lies aimed at justifying his planned total capitulation to Putin. (below)

How much longer, ask our MGH teams, can News Crap maintain the Trump-style lie that Trump is fit for office?

Our MGH researchers say it is very clear to them – and they believe right-thinking (as opposed to Right-thinking) Australians – that anyone who appeases anyone who appeases Putin (or Netanyahu for that matter) needs to share the blame and be called to account if Ukraine (or Gaza) is handed over to those seeking it and its people’s destruction.
