The poll dancing begins!

This second tranche of The Bug‘s Xcrements-of-the-Week will concentrate on domestic politics and the supposedly now-looming-even-larger federal election.

And all that got our Xcrement judges to thinking just how wretchedly right-wing and thoroughly unprofessional and un-journalistic most of this nation’s mainstream mediocre will be in the months ahead.

So they thought: let’s highlight an oldie but a goldie meme from Phillip Riley (at top and below).

By the way, you BUGgers out there…. sure Newscorpse will lead the pack in spraying LNP propaganda across its platforms but don’t let the rest of the MSM off lightly. They won’t be far behind. The Nine radio shockjocks might even out-right Newscorpse.

Talking about polls before, the recent and fairly extensive YouGov poll had our MSM journos cracking fats and wides over the likelihood of a Dutton minority government. Our Aunty was just about the most excited of them all. If all that made you understandably depressed, here’s some excreta from Stephen Koukoulas (we’ll allow him a double dip) and Eagle Sam that might just cheer you up.

The Bug has made it perfectly clear it hopes the two Xcretas above are spot on. The very thought that the LNP might serve only one term in opposition for every shitty corrupt and incompetent thing they did over nine years in power fills us with absolute dread. Robodebt alone should see them languishing on the Opposition benches for at least two terms alone.

One more Bug aside. YouGov had Labor’s primary on 29.1 per cent. The later Newspoll has Labor on 31. A recent Essential respondent-allocated poll had a 50-50 split on two-party preferred.

Firing up more generalised comments were Rupert’s Conscience and Quentin Dempster, the latter pushing the case for the election of more independents.

What also gives us, a lot of our Xcretas and thinking Australians (that excludes almost the entire MSM) hope is that Peter Dutton doesn’t do all that well even when he makes appearances on his favourite (read almost totally supportive) media platforms.

Take it away, The Noisy Elephant and JayJay…

… while Rex Patrick has a general warning for the nation’s public servants. How much did Scott Morrison blow on those private consultants in just his last year in office? $20 billion?

TO BE CONTINUED: Tomorrow, international news! Shirley, you didn’t think our weekly Xcrements review would not take faecal aim at the Tangarine Shitgibbon and America’s war on the rest of the world… apart from Russia, that is. Vlad really must have those golden-shower photos.
