Lord Downer of Adelaide Hills has taken another step in his on-again, off-again efforts to carve a career in stand-up comedy.

In recent times His Lordship has revisited his comedic roots despite it being 30 years since his first foray and the hostile reception given to his first show, The Things That Batter.

Last night at the vast purpose-built auditorium Lord Downer has had constructed in the grounds of his family seat Pout House, he debuted his latest offering entitled Making Australia (The nation my family single-handedly built.) Great Again!

During his somewhat abbreviated appearance he was supported on stage by two unclad junior footmen holding his script – a Pout House tradition that His Lordship explained he had just instituted.
