With Donald Trump’s return to the White House in less than a week, we’ll kick off this second tranche of our Xcrements-of-the-Week with news surrounding this grate man.
Our judges particularly like the effort (above and below) from CALL TO ACTIVISM, supposedly showing the Danish parliament’s response to Trump’s declaration that Greenland needs to become part of the US, taken by force if need be.

Look, we don’t know whether this is the case. They might be laughing because someone farted in the House. But Trump is fast making himself the laughing stock of the world. Just like last time. American voters, what have you done?
Daniel Goldman warns us all about Trump’s canny way with misdirections, ones he’s happy to make no matter how fucking stupid they make him look.

… while Brian Krassenstein addresses one of Trump’s real goals …. if he intends to honour election promises, that is.

Harvey G. Cohen and Bill Madden reflect on the man’s criminal record and total lack of any commendable character traits…

… as did Ruben Michaels, while Sheree’ Woke AF alerted us to a pastime apparently giving much pleasure to people worldwide.

… and Peter FitzSimons, in conversation with LuckyLuc, hope that US-style politics don’t ever make their way Down Under.

Before we leave the US, here’s one from Chay Bowes about the outgoing president Joe Biden. (Editor: and who said we don’t give space to both sides of an argument!)

We’re assuming Chay is blaming Biden for the Los Angeles fires. There are high-rise buildings still visible in the background, so it’s obviously not Gaza that Biden’s bombs have helped raze.
Combining both hellholes was Mondoweiss with these worrying thoughts.

To the Israeli genocide in Gaza itself, now, and here’s Assal Rad, Kashif Chaudhry and Motasem A Dalloul.

Finally, some domestic politics and without any explanation because time is short, here are Dr Monique Ryan MP, Wazza from Melbourne, the Noisy Elephant and Miss Polly with a nice little poem.

One more then. Let’s close out with Belinduh Pyne.

Amen to that, Belinduh. Not that there’s all that much journalism left in Oz.
