New award for Blinken

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has been given a prestigious international diplomacy award.

Mr Blinken was awarded the Henry Kissinger Memorial Straight Face Trophy (main picture) for his recent statements condemning what he said was genocide being inflicted on civilians in the civil war raging in the African nation of Sudan since 2023. (below)

Mr Blinken accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) fighting the Sudanese Armed Forces of employing a pattern of systematic ethnic violence in which the RSF killed civilians as they tried to flee, and blocked access to essential supplies.

The gold-plated trophy, named after one of Mr Blinken’s predecessors as Secretary of State, the late blood-soaked warmonger, fraud, and hypocrite Henry Kissinger, (below) is given to individual international diplomats who manage to maintain a straight face while spouting blatantly hypocritical statements.

US President elect Donald Trump says nothing should be read into his son Donald Junior’s just-completed visit to Greenland despite the Danish territory being on the list of overseas territories or assets such as the Panama Canal that he wants to seize to bolster American security.

Mr Trump (below) said Donald Junior had been on a private visit that “just happens to coincide” with the President-elect’s recent statements.

Mr Trump denied his son’s visit had been a reconnaissance mission preceding a US military invasion.

“I wouldn’t read anything into his trip which includes more than Greenland,” Mr Trump said. “He also plans to visit Poland and to make a lightning visit across France to the American Channel.

“Elon has recommended that Don Junior also takes a look at Britain and North Africa too,” he said.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has provided more details about the new processes to be implemented at Facebook to check content posted by users.

Following his news conference revealing plans to scrap current factchecking processes and adopt a system in line with that used by Elon Musk’s X formerly Twitter platform, Mr Zuckerberg (below) acknowledge that the change was a response to the election of Donald Trump as the 47th US President.

“In this new political climate we need a new approach to facts and especially alternative facts,” Mr Zuckerberg said.

“So Facebook will phase in new processes to ensure the type of free speech our new political climate demands.

“We’ll be dropping the term ‘factchecking’ and will instead implement a new process known as ‘leftchecking’,” he said.
