Bibi’s fresh foray into Oz politics

BLOODSOAKED GENOCIDAL CRIMINALS:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (main picture) has again intervened in Australian domestic politics by critiquing the government’s handling of terrorist incidents.

Mr Netanyahu last week accused the Albanese Government of encouraging terrorism for joining 156 other nations to support a United Nations’ resolution seeking Israel’s withdrawal from Palestinian territories it is occupying illegally.

Just days after those comments Mr Netanyahu has bought into debate over the response to the December 2014 siege in the Lindt Cafe in Sydney’s Martin Place.

At the weekend, on the 10th anniversary of the deadly siege in which terrorist Man Monis took 18 people hostage for 16 hours and which ended after he and two hostages died, former NSW coroner Michael Barnes who conducted the formal inquest into the deaths raised questions about the timeliness of the police response.

Mr Netanyahu said he had seen Mr Barnes’s comments but went further in his criticisms.

“The response to the Lindt Cafe siege shows how weak Australia is on terrorism,” he said.

“If I had been responsible at the time for responding to the siege it would certainly not have last for 16 hours. In fact it would have been over in about 16 minutes.

“As soon as I had the opportunity I would have order an air strike on the cafe itself as well as follow-up missile attacks to level the cafe building and all other buildings in and around Martin Place in a radius of at least 500 metres.

“The death toll would have been in the thousands, if not tens of thousands, but who cares?”

Mr Netanyahu was then advised by reporters that if his approach had been taken it would have seen the total levelling of two major hospitals in nearby Macquarie Street.

The Israeli Prime Minister fell silent for a moment before saying: “I did not know that. But hey, bargain!”
