Gaetz undermines Trump pick

WASHINGTON DC: Donald Trump’s failed nominee for US Attorney-General, former congressman Matt Gaetz, is actively working to undermine another cabinet pick of the President-elect.

Capitol Hill sources told The Bug’s Washington DC bureau that Gaetz (main picture) does not want to see Robert F Kennedy Junior confirmed as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

“Matt’s doing all he can to undermine confidence in Kennedy,” one source said.

“It’s not because of RFK’s crazy ideas about vaccines or his wacko personal history that includes decapitating whales and staging fake bear deaths.

“It’s far more simple and direct. Matt’s very concerned that Kennedy’s repeated statements about the high cost and adverse side effects of many mainstream medications might prompt him as Secretary of Health to ban Botox.”

Meanwhile, the source said, President-elect Trump is mulling several more likely controversial appointments.

“When Matt Gaetz dropped out of consideration for A-G, Trump really wanted to replace him as his nominee with Judge Judy. (below)

“But he was convinced after much debate within his transition team to go with former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.

“But Judge Judy can rest assured that whenever a Supreme Court vacancy occurs, she’s going straight to the big bench.

“I can also confirm that there was also a lot of discussion at the last transition team meeting about who was going to break the news to Trump that he can’t name Hannibal Lecter (below) as US Surgeon General.

“Finally it was agreed that Donald Trump Junior would tell his father that the appointment was not on, although he and his brother Eric both strongly expressed their disbelief at why so many in the room were rejecting what they said was an eminently qualified individual,” the source said.
