As the federal election approaches News Crap Australia publications continue fulfilling their role as publicity agents for the Liberal Party.
In particular they are stepping up their campaign to act as advertising agency for Peter Dutton’s plans to establish a network of nuclear power stations in Australia.
Below are just two recent items in News Crap Australia outlets.

As usual, both have headlines that – against basic rules of journalism – present opinions as fact.
“We need the nuclear option” and “Nuclear can save towns” are arguments made by proponents of nuclear power. There are plenty of people out there who dispute both assertions.
But when such headlines appear unattributed or unqualified, what are the odds those who oppose Dutton’s plans will get a fair hearing and fair coverage in News Crap outlets in coming months?

The same approach of editorialising in headlines on news stories has been taken, naturally, in the current blatant News Crap Australia campaign to unseat Australia’s ambassador to the US, former PM Kevin Rudd. (below)

All News Crap Australia outlets have been really going to town on Rudd as payback for being so stridently anti-Murdoch in the years before his appointment to his current Washington gig.
Linking Donald Trump’s election win to Rudd’s past social media attacks on the soon-to-be 47th US President is merely a convenient excuse to launch their latest attack.
After all, it seems like half of Trump’s announced cabinet picks have said far worse about him themselves in the past.
The headline is not presented as a quote and is not in any way attributed to anyone.
It is clearly News Crap Australia’s opinion on what is meant to be – don’t laugh – an objective news item.
But just to cover their arse, the story does cite one source who reflects the headline’s sentiment.
Surprise, surprise, it’s long-time Liberal Party identity Michael Kroger.
It just goes to prove how correct Rudd was in his calls for a royal commission into the cancer on democracy that is the Murdoch media.

Our MGH researchers last week noted yet another in a long line of stories published by News Crap Australia – this time in a recent edition of its Brisbane turdbloid The Sunday Mail – that are designed to provoke outrage about alleged government waste.
The story was about the cost of welcome to country ceremonies presented by First Nations’ representatives at local council events in South East Queensland. (below)

Wacko! Two hot buttons for the price of one! Not only governments “wasting” taxpayers’ money but “waste” caused by Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders! Ideal fodder for News Crap Australia’s audience.
Our MGH teams wonder why it wasn’t on page one and who may be sacked because it wasn’t.
