Peter Dutton’s sooky, bullying, outburst soon but our Xcrement-of-the-Week judges draped the blue riband for the past week around the shoulders of journalism legend Tony Koch for his short, sharp, observation (above and below) on Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.

For you BUGers out there who may not know, retired scribe Koch is probably one of the nicest people that God if she exists ever blew breath into – smart, rational, compassionate – and is a multi-Walkley-award winning journalist and national journalism hall-of-famer.

And we at The Bug thinks he’s absolutely spot on with his assessment of what’s being going on in Gaza this past year and a fortnight. Oh, that Anthony Albanese and Penny Wong could see things so clearly.

And on the other end of the human scale of decency, we have Peter Dutton who bullied an ABC journalist in Western Australia last week for having the temerity to question his statement that the local folk were happy with his nuclear powerplant plans there.

We’re largely devoting this first look at the xcrement that plopped into our prize barrel this past week for his absurd and bizarre bullying effort, particularly because he gets such a dream run from the great bulk of Australia’s sycophantic, brown-nosing, rightwing mainstream mediocre.

All The Bug can add to all of this is, given the dream run Dutton gets from the mainstream mediocre including the AB “Peter Dutton says” C, what a glass-jawed sook he really is. And bullying a female reporter just doing her job shows much more about the man’s character than just his hatred of the public broadcaster for not being SkyNews.
