Management of the Sydney Opera House have apologised for an error last night in a slideshow projection on its iconic sails.
“The slideshow was meant to welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla to Australia for their first visit since the King ascended the throne,” an Opera House spokesperson said.
“Unfortunately there was some miscommunication between Opera House management and the outside firm contracted to operate the projection system that is used to mark big events and special occasions,” the spokesperson said.
“The mistake was detected soon after the first phase of the planned slideshow appeared on the sails. (main picture)
“We do apologise to the royal couple for the mistake.
“Luckily the projection firm was able to quickly correct the slideshow before the images of Makybe Diva appeared.”

A man on trial in the US for his role in the 6 January 2021 Capitol riots in Washington which attempted to overturn the certification of the election of President Joe Biden has made a dramatic tactical change in his legal defence.
Speaking outside a Washington DC court, Buck Figpucker of Incest, Alabama (below) said he now planned to call as a witness former President Donald Trump.

Mr Figpucker who is acting as his own legal counsel after embracing social media claims that lawyers were “deep state operatives who control the weather and forcibly vaccinate foetuses in the womb” said he would now pursue a line of argument outlined by Mr Trump himself.
“Donald Trump has declared that January 6 was not a riot or insurrection but was actually ‘a day of love’,” he said.
“So I’ll now be arguing that I was actually at the Capitol seeking a date with then Vice-President Mike Pence.
“The rifle and noose I was pictured holding were merely sex toys I usually carry with me wherever I go just in case I get lucky.
“I feel quietly confident that this argument will be accepted and I am very happy with my decision to reject lawyers and conduct my own prosecution,” Mr Figpucker said.
