Dominating The Bug‘s Xcrements-of-the-Week barrel this past week were the countless memes inspired by Donald Trump’s debate comment that immigrants were eating the geese, cats and dogs of Springfield, Ohio.

Unfortunately, many were videos – one very funny one with Trump’s words put to music – which were difficult to do justice on our platform here. (That’s because we’re luddites and don’t know how to present them well but that’s not important right now).

So we thought we’d kick off with Scary Larry (at top and below) who pretty much summed up what racist Trump’s aim, doubled down by his vice president pick V.D. Dunce, was – and continues to be – with that bizarre and unfounded claim.

Schools closed. Bomb threats. Acid thrown. This is the result of racists having a red-hot go at firing up their moronic MAGA base with their own baseless claims against legal immigrants apparently adding greatly to their local community.

Harry Sisson picked up quickly on Trump’s determination to reject reality to press his argument that he’ll clear the US of millions of immigrants, as did Kamala HQ, while Art Candee referenced the 78-year-old tangerine shitgibbon’s cognitive abilities.

Mind of mashed potatoes indeed.

And Acyn was one of many calling for this racist bullshit to stop.

Excretas also uploaded numerous posts showing V. D. Dunce admitting that the “eating cats and dogs” claim was indeed made up because it garnered the media attention the Republican campaigned craved, while Heath Mayo also alerted X to the fact that the woman at the centre of this total racist bullshit had admitted she had gotten it wrong and was sorry about that!

Is such regret going to change Trump and V. D. Dunce’s attack lines? Not one iota.

Still overseas, Howard Beckett was pretty unimpressed with the relatively new UK Labour leader.
