Critics leave nothing in reserve

We at The Bug – but especially our Xcrement-of-the-Week judges – have a particularly soft spot for anyone who calls the Reserve Bank of Australia governor Michelle Bullock a bozo.

So those judges were more than happy to drape the blue riband around the shoulders of Michael J. Willie (at top and below).

Bullock the Bozo! Noice!

We of course don’t know Michael J Wyllie’s thought processes behind his Xcreata but if he thought her comments about people having to sell their homes had quite a sense of “shit happens” or “let them not eat cake!” about it, we couldn’t agree more.

In fact much xcrement plopped into our barrel this past week over Bullock’s seemingly charmless indifference as she announced the great unwashed of Australia can not expect any interest rate relief anytime soon. As we said, if people can’t pay their mortgages, welcome to the rental market – if you can find one you can afford. Otherwise your car’s your new home! Sleep well and shit happens. But some level of our society has to pay the price for high inflation, right?

Weighing in with their thoughts were Glenn Gibson, whose own definition of Bullock as an “arse” neatly matched Wyllie’s contribution, while Kos Samaras was in total agreement with current and past Treasurers who gave the RBA and Bullock nice little touchups recently.

And Miss Polly had this to spray.

Suggesting the RBA works in mysterious ways is one way of putting it, Miss Polly.

We shift now to another national body that continues to cop enormous flak and that’s the National Anti-Corruption Commission. Has any organisation’s reputation and standing come crashing down faster than Tony Abbott’s chaotic and laughable two-year stint as prime minister?

Here’s Dr Josie McSkimming and Frank Pinto.

Bugger it. Let’s give Dr Josie a double dip!

Stinks like an old outhouse indeed! And then there was Anthony Klan taking a swipe at Mark Dreyfus.

We alluded before to current Treasurer Jim Chalmers and seeing an edition of Xcrements-of-the-Week hardly ever goes past without someone having fun with Insiders, here are JayJay and Eagle Sam.

We’ll conclude this first look at our Xcrements-of-the-Week with Paul Roberts taking a swipe at how the mainstream mediocre is now paying tribute to Bill Shorten.

Our Xcrements barrel was choka-a-poop with comments about how good a prime minister Shorten might have been. Solid praise indeed but it should also be remembered that Bozo the Clown or Milo Kerrigan (pictured) would have made much better PMs than Scott Morrison.
