Democrats presidential hopeful Kamala Harris had openly admitted her run for the White House would probably be over by now if Sky LNPNews Australia “dominated the American mainstream media scene like it does Down Under”.
In a frank and exclusive phone interview with The Bug, the current vice president said that while Fox News in America was now regarded “as a bit of a joke for being far too one-sided and ultra right wing” she would have been at the mercy of the professional, top-level journalism as exhibited always by Sky LNPNews and its many talented hosts.
“I’d have had no answer to the amazing things they’ve dredged up about me,” a contrite Ms Harris told The Bug moments before a campaign rally in swing-state Pennsylvania.
“It took Sky LNPNews to cruelly expose me for the fact that I use different accents depending on my audiences around the United States.
“I’m referring to what Sky LNPNews calls its allstars – Rita Panahi, Chris Kenny and Andrew Bolt – and how they brilliantly combined to expose (at top) that trick I use to convince any particular audience I’m one of theirs.
“Even another Sky LNPNews host James Morrow took aim at me over the same issue, even though he’s not obviously one of their allstars.’
Harris is referring to a Morrow column for which he analysed two clips which showed Harris appearing to switch up her accents in front of different audiences.

“The American people deserve better than this. A lot better,” Morrow thundered. “What a fraud. And a transparent one at that.”
Harris repeated her claim that she doubted very much she’d still be in the presidential race were Sky LNPNews to be in a position to exert a powerful central role in US media and not be limited to appealing to its hundreds of Australian audience members.
In her phone hookup with The Bug, Harris spoke with a very passable and rather posh Toorak, Melbourne, accent but the moment she heard The Bug was headquartered in Brisbane, switched effortlessly to Woodridge bogun.
