Price attacks that were spot on

This first look at The Bug‘s Xcrements of the Week concentrates on the Xcreta that plopped all over Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price for her recent article in The Australian.

We’re running only a selection of the putrid massive piles of poo that plopped onto Price’s head over that column and quite frankly any one of them could have been judged our Xcreta-of-the-Week post for exposing Price as the dreadful hypocrite than she undoubtedly is.

If we at The Bug can be excused for a bit of editorialising here, we’ll add the view that she’s a dreadful racist and divisive personality to boot. She was, after all, along with Warren “It’s hard enough making a living as a coalmine owner having to deal with my local mob let alone a wider group of blackfellas!” Mundine, the face of the No! campaign at the Voice referendum, one based almost entirely on creating division in Australian society and appealing unashamedly to the far-too-many racists in our midst.

And to achieve their selfish ends – based purely on scoring political points rather than advancing First Nations peoples – they lied repeatedly that our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples were largely against the Voice. The results proved otherwise; they were the outsiders.

While not wanting to single out any one Xcrement for top honour, our judges did like to show two different responses to the Price article – the long and the short of it, so to speak. So, at top and below, are what Dr Tracy Westerman AM and Noely had to say.

Price’s blatant hypocrisy was a common theme to our Xcreta offerings, including The Emperor’s Old Tailor who found Price’s stand “beyond parody” and Sassy Leo with a totally spot-on “hypocrisy on steroids” comment.

Peter Murphy ripped Price a new one over one of her original arguments for opposing the Voice…

… while many of the Xcrements we snared used a smidge of sarcasm to make their points. Take it away, amante2 and Andrew Gardiner.

Miss Polly and Rupert’s Conscience took similar paths….

… while Ray Wilton and BethinCanberra singled out The Australian‘s efforts overall.

Mind if we end with another little Bug editorialising? The Voice to Parliament was a fine idea, a harmless one which held great possibility of helping close the gap on so many life markers for First Nations peoples.

In opposing the Voice for narrow-minded political gain, the likes of Senator Price and Warren Mundine sold out the very people they should be totally committed to serving. Instead, they swung whole-heartedly behind a racist and divisive No campaign filled with absurdities and lies. We at The Bug think that makes them dreadful racists as well.
