Labor will win Qld poll easily!

As arguably this nation’s most accurate amateur psephologist, I’ve been amazing at how few people – well, none, actually – have asked me to tip how the October 26 Queensland state election will pan out.

And sure enough, while there have been few state polls released recently, the ones that have lobbed over the past month or so have the LNP heading for a landslide, so you’d have to be pretty thick or relying too much on what your heart says to predict anything other than that result.

Nevertheless, I think it’s timely now – especially after the shellacking Territorian Labor has just been handed in the Top End – to give you all the benefit of my psephological insights in case you want to get some hard-earned on so here goes. Queensland Labor will easily win the election in late 2028!

As for this year’s poll, they’re going to get an absolute flogging at the hands of these two chaps pictured below and their LNP colleagues, even though I’m totally convinced they’re pretty fucking useless, fundamentally don’t know how governments and their budgets work, really have no answers to the state’s many woes – their lack of policies are proof of that – and will most certainly end up as one-term wonders if they pursue their pledge to take government out of people’s lives by taxing and spending less.

I would seriously urge Labor people with political ambitions to prepare their assaults on that 2028 poll and select their targeted seats after this year’s wipeout. There are a helluva lot of seats that are going to swing back to Labor in 2028 – dare I say it – of almost Campbell Newman proportions.
