WASHINGTON DC: US presidential candidate Donald Trump has blasted “crooked” Larry Emdur alleging the TV Week Gold Logie winner “stole” the award presented to him last night as Australia’s most popular TV personality.

Mr Trump said the award was rightly his but Mr Emdur had “rigged” the contest and “stolen” the gold statuette.

During a seven-hour speech at a campaign rally in the rural Ohio town of Futtbuck, Mr Trump said he deserved the award for his work on The Apprentice, the US reality TV show he hosted which aired from 2004 to 2017.

“The Apprentice was the greatest TV show ever made. Ever. People say there has never been anything like it before or since,” he told the crowd which broke into chants of “USA! USA! USA!”.

“People also tell me that I was the greatest host. Ever. So anytime there’s a TV award given out anywhere in the world, it’s mine.

“In addition – and I’ve got to tell you, I’ve never before heard of the Loogie [sic] Awards –  but I have the biggest and best loogies in the world so for that reason too, the Gold Loogie [sic] should be mine.

“Nobody hocks up bigger and better loogies than me. People say they have never seen loogies like them. Ever.

“We were getting ready to win the Gold Loogie [sic]. Frankly we did win the Gold Loogie [sic],” he said, sparking chants form the crowd of “USA! USA! USA!”.

“Crooked Larry Emdur stole the award that rightly belongs to me – no doubt helped by crooked Kamala… I mean krooked Kamala Harris.

“Larry Emdur, the Loogie [sic] Awards, and the people who judge them are crooked and rigged,” he said, prompting the crowd to break into chants of “Kill Larry!”.
