Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has doubled down on his call for a total ban on Palestinians escaping war-torn Gaza from entering Australia.
The Liberal Party leader earlier today expressed his total opposition to the Albanese Government’s plans to establish a permanent visa scheme for Palestinians refugees fleeing the Israel-Hamas war.
He said he did not believe anyone from the war zone should come to Australia as the risk of Hamas terrorists entering the country was a threat to national security.
A few hours later, addressing a Make Australia Great Again rally, (main picture) Mr Dutton went further and said if elected he planned to round up and deport all Palestinians living in Australia – even those who had lived here for decades and holding Australian citizenship – “just to be sure”.
Mr Dutton pledge to seal Australia’s borders and “carry out the largest mass deportation operation in Americ… err, Australian history”.
He said Gaza immigrants, like every other immigrant, would take Australian jobs, and drive up crime while “poisoning the blood of our nation”.
“Our once iconic Americ… I mean, Australian cities and communities have become hollowed out, nightmares thanks to Anthony Albanese and the Democrats’, I mean Labor’s woke soft-on-crime and open border policies,” he said.
Mr Dutton went on to say he was shocked by reports of mothers in Gaza throwing their children overboard in an effort to convince immigration authorities in other nations such as Australia to accept them as refugees.
“To get to the truth of how badly Palestinians are behaving in Gaza, as prime minister I will send Scott Morrison there to determine the lie of the land, something he’s expert in,” Mr Dutton said.
“It’s something crooked Anthony Albanese won’t do because he is too busy cuddling up to Hamas terrorists.”
He continued by referring to a theme he has used previously at MAGA rallies.
“What’s actually needed in Gaza is a big wall. A beautiful big wall that should be paid for by Mexic…. I mean, should be paid for by Gaza,” Mr Dutton said.
When an adviser whispered to him that Palestinians in Gaza were already walled in, Mr Dutton turned swiftly to the coming 2025 federal election, warning of his fears that it would be rigged and that the Liberal-National coalition would have its victory stolen by Labor.
