Capital punishment for The Oz journo

MEDIA NEWS:

A News Crap Australia journalist has been sacked overnight for what a company insider has described as “a massive violation of editorial standards”.

The so-far unidentified journalist previously employed by the Murdoch media’s national broadshit The Australian – pictured above departing its Sydney offices was working the weekend night shift on the newspaper’s online website.

“The journo in question took the decision on Saturday evening to have The Australian’s website lead its news coverage with the horrific Israeli military attack on a Gaza school that has so far cost 100 lives and wounded dozens more including children and the aged,” the insider said. (below)

“The attack happened during morning prayers and started a fire at the school that was being used as a shelter for people displaced by the Israel-Hamas war.

“Our journo must have realised the big mistake he was making when he took the decision to make the story the lead of The Oz online.

“The silly fellow should have known that no News Crap Australia outlet gives any prominence – and sometimes, any coverage at all – to any story that might foster criticism of the Israeli Government.

“Luckily his egregious error was rectified very swiftly and the story is now in its rightful place with due prominence. (below)

“He paid the price for his recklessness, being sacked as soon as his error was drawn to the attention of more senior editorial and corporate officers.

“It’s a tough call, but The Australian must protect its editorial standards and basic punctuation is a key to understanding those standards.

“All of its editorial staff need to be aware of the overwhelming need to maintain News standards rather than news standards,” the insider said.
