Queensland Supreme Court judge, Justice Petersen Bjelke-Skase, (main picture) has criticised as “nowhere near harsh enough” the treatment dished out to a solicitor for wearing a traditional Palestinian keffiyeh in a NSW court appearance.
At a ceremony in the NSW Banco Court last week marking the admission of new solicitors, NSW Young Lawyers secretary Seth Harlen, appeared and spoke on behalf of the NSW Law Society while wearing a keffiyeh. (below)

Mr Harlen, known for his activism in several social justice causes, sparked an outcry within the legal profession and prompted NSW Chief Justice Andrew Bell to seek an explanation from the NSW Law Society.
Society president Brett McGrath reportedly met Chief Justice Bell and apologised for the incident.
But in an exclusive interview at the exclusive Queensland Club in Brisbane, Justice Bjelke-Skase, said Mr Harlen had “got off too lightly”.
“He made a mockery of the court with the way he was dressed,” he said. “We simply can’t have people turning up in such outlandish dress. It makes the court look ridiculous.”
Applying a black square of material on his head, he added: “The condemned, … I mean Harlen is lucky he didn’t pull that stunt in my courtroom.”

News Crap Australia’s lead political comedy writer, James Morrow, says he has no worries about losing his job in the wake of further editorial staff cuts in Murdoch media outlets.
Mr Morrow, winner of The Bug’s Australian of the Year for 2021 services to comedic journalism (below) said his personal reporting practices for print outlets and Sky News meant he was an irreplaceable asset to the Murdoch media empire.

“Before I write any of my daily fair and balanced stories about how badly the Labor Party is doing, I conduct extensive interviews with my wide range of reliable sources such as Peta Credlin, Andrew Bolt, Paul Murray, Sharri Markson, Rita Panahi, Rowan Dean, Steve Price, Caleb Bond, and Jack Houghton.
“So all of my output is genuinely in line with the Murdoch media’s requirement for pro-Liberal content to be balanced with a fair amount of anti-Labor stories.
“For that reason I reckon my job is safe as houses, which incidentally are now totally unaffordable thanks to Labor and the Albanese Government,” Mr Morrow said.

Senior Righter for The Australian, Gerard Henderson, has been found after going missing for several days.
A spokesperson for the national broadshit said Henderson had not been seen since he filed his Media Watch Dog column late last week in which he included an item praising in glowing terms the performance of News Crap emeritus chair Rupert Murdoch in an interview with Paul Whitaker, head of the Murdoch-owned Sky News marking The Australian’s 60th anniversary. The item also praised the interviewing style of Mr Whitaker.
“We finally located Gerard stuck well up Rupert’s arse,” the source said. “He was found by our US correspondent Adam Creighton who had just filed another pro-Trump yarn.”
