WASHINGTON: A stubborn Joe Biden, 81, is expected to continue with his foolish presidential bid despite stinging criticism from one of Australia’s most respected politics analysts who has argued his opponent Donald Trump clearly has the personal character attributes needed to lead a clearly crisis-riddled US in the years ahead.
A White House insider told The Bug: “A lesser man would have pulled the pin after hearing of such a bollocking from this Down Under expert but not Joe. You’ve got to admire him for that at least, right?”
He was referring to glowing support for Trump by Sky LNPNews host Peta Credlin who has read so, so much, into Trump’s reaction after being shot at his campaign rally at the weekend.

In one of those short, sharp news bites that Sky LNPNews Australia floods the Microsoft Start search engine, often multiple times daily, Credlin said Trump was the man needed to run the US in a crisis. And she clearly believes the US is now in an existential crisis.
Credlin declared the attack on the former US president as shocking but hardly surprising given “the level of invective” against him.
“Donald Trump’s instinctive defiance – his raised fist response to the attack – shows the fight in the man that his supporters love,” Credlin said.
“Trump clearly didn’t want the lasting image of him, on that dreadful day, to be a man hustled away by the Secret Service.
“He demanded they wait, and in that moment, he reframed the image as a man of strength, the sort of leader you would want in a crisis.”
Hint: America is in crisis and brave, brave, Donald Trump’s the answer!
While The Bug could not be bothered listening to Credlin’s full rant on her Sky LNPNews TV program, we can only assume she was commenting on that sheer look of disgust on Trump’s face at the rally when it dawned on him that someone had had the temerity to try to kill the finest human being who has ever lived, followed by his “Fight! Fight! Fight!” defiance that anyone could want to harm his bid as the only man capable of making America great again.
Credlin is the highly respected political commentator who as a political strategist single-handedly as Tony Abbott’s chief of staff made Tones what he is today … a laughing stock of a former PM who lasted just two short years as prime minister, turfed aside by his own people after his very un-Australian decision – that Credlin clearly supported – to award silly old Prince Philip an Australian knighthood.
