LONDON: After reportedly being near death after five long, inhuman and mentally cruel years of detention in prison where extradition to, and execution in, the US remained on the cards for a long, long time, Julian Assange has been pictured (at top) almost racing up the steps unaided and not needing to use the staircase rails to an aircraft at Stansted Airport that has flown him out of the country!
After he pleads guilty to a US Espionage Act charge in the Northern Mariana Islands, a US commonwealth in the Western Pacific on Wednesday Australian time, Assange is then expected to return to Australia immediately, released for time already served.
He is then expected to start shooting his involvement in a fresh and exciting new Australian version of Dancing with the Stars to be followed up by a key role in the third season of Channel 9’s The Even Newer Summit, due for filming in and around New Zealand’s Mount Cook in the coming months, and a key slot in a new Ten Network project with the working title of “I’m a Celebrity But I’m Already Out of There!”
