Our Xcrement-of-the-Week judges simply could not go past the bewildering decision by the National Anti-Corruption Commission last week that it wouldn’t be doing anything further over the scandalous, life-taking, illegal Robodebt scheme.
For the use of an historical meme that did almost as much as the NACC achieved in destroying its branding with its first major decision since beginning its work on July 1 last year, our judges draped the blue riband around the neck of Su Dharmapala Voted Yes & #A1 Chick (above and below).

This image tells us much after Robodebt Royal Commissioner Catherine Holmes was silly enough to send a sealed section to the newly created NACC, thinking, presumably, that it might have powers to bring to account the people behind a scheme widely regarded as the worse case of deliberate government malfeasance in our nation’s political history.
What a silly little Commissioner Ms Holmes was!
Can The Bug editorialise just a little bit more before we carrying with the week’s Xcrements? We can? Thank you? We at The Bug are simply astounded that NACC has virtually wiped its hands of the matter, saying basically that Robodebt is not more or less in the “lessons learned” category. But we did admire NACC for sending out its thoughts and prayers to the victims of Robodebt, dead and alive, and their surviving families and friends. How very nice of them. Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus must be very proud of the NACC structure he’s created.
Last piece of editorialising. Who’s going to bring the Robodebt culprits to task – who’s going to end up in a court dock – now? The LNP Image Protection Force … sorry …. The Federal Police (pictured)?

Back to our Xers. Also using the image of those three happy marching officer mates to provide true context, perhaps, into the NACC decision were Teresa Randal etc, etc, and Serkan Ozturk.

A contempt for victims, indeed, Teresa Randal.
Ronni Salt nails it – as she generally does – by explaining that if the NACC considered it could do no more than what the Robodbet commission did and found out, then there was a very good reason for that.

Yes, Ronni. No glitch. No aberration. Working exactly as intended. But, Ronni, surely NACC could have sent their own sealed section to some forum or another for immediate non-action?
Xers expressing their alarm about Robodebt culprits – sorry, alleged culprits – walking free – even one certain prick we’re all so trying desperately to forget now – were JayJay, Everald Compton and Sahar Adatia.

And Quentin Dempster called on that commission “sealed section” to be opened to public scrutiny in the hope that justice for Robotdebt victims and their families might still come in some shape or form.

Eventual justice for those so affected by the deadly, illegal, Robodebt scheme, Quentin? Maybe, as mentioned at the top of this column, by the LNP Image Protection Force …. sorry, the Australian Federal Police (pictured).

TO BE CONTINUED: Tomorrow: Peter Dutton cops a lot of crap on several fronts.
