Very unworthy dinner guests!

No doubt you BUGgers out there have posed the same question we’ve often asked ourselves: would you invite dinner guests to your home who are publicly committed to burning your place down?

It’s a question that has vexed our judges of our Xcrements-of-the-Week awards and this is as good a week as any to find they have jointly awarded the blue riband to a couple of very relevant entries that plopped into our Xcrement barrel over this past week.

So, congratulations (above and below) to signtst and Kiera for their wins this week. And the question they’ve basically asked? Why would the ABC continue to invite onto programs such as Sunday’s Insiders Newscorpse journalists who most likely have also espoused their employer’s own obsession: namely to see the ABC dismantled or flogged off for a song, especially to Newscorpe who would promptly close it down.

Kiera’s offering is particularly relevant seeing that human slough James Campbell was on Insiders yesterday, showcasing his talents as an LNP publicist. And how about that totally unprofessional, totally unjournalistic jibe at Chris Bowen on the Newscorpse platform. Bowen said no such thing, of course, but when have the facts ever bothered Campbell and far too many of his colleagues at Newscorpse outlets.

Others to respond to the human sloth’s appearance on Insiders were bradpsychology, Eagle Sam and Ross Clelland.

Slumpy the poisonous gnome? Love it heaps, Ross! Sounds like a mascot for Newscorpses’ annual awards evening?

Also weighing in were Mike Carlton, Nick Feik and Jenny Frecklington-Jones and Alex Mcleod in conversation.

Before we round off this first look at our Excrements of the Week, a little lighthearted meme from Peter Murphy about Donald Trump’s 34 felony convictions….

TOMORROW: The defence of Laura Tingle, for having the temerity of telling the truth about Australia, rages on unabated and plenty of Xcrement was dropped on Josh Frydenberg over being asked to consider an attempt to re-enter federal politics. If the Victorian Liberals think he’s a must-have asset with an unblemished track record, it shows the trouble they’re in.
