What’s the group word for clowns again?

A peta of clowns? A tony of clowns?

For this second tranche of The Bug‘s Xcrements-of-the-Week, our judges just want it known that if a short, sharp, yet heartfelt chuckle was sufficient to win the overall award for the best Xcrement of the past period, this wonderful little contribution from Ryan Liddell (above and below) would easily have taken the blue riband.

Everyone keep a straight face indeed, Ryan. Well, we all know that was impossible when faced with the vision of the two people who were declaring that Anthony Albanese was “out of his depth” as PM. Namely Tony “Climate change is Crap!” Abbott who lasted just two short years in that top job, and Peta Credlin, the woman who as his chief of staff made Abbott what he is today – the laughing stock of an ex-PM who lost that job through a unique blend of incompetence and gross stupidity all under her guidance.

Who under those circumstances could keep a straight face?

Before we leave Peta, who gets to write full-page columns in Newscorpse titles because a senile, flaccid-arsed nonagenarian in New York thinks she rights well, here’s amante 2

Okay, enough of the Peta and Tones clownshow.

Another big issue of the week just past was the Opposition’s obsession with wanting to lose the next federal election in a canter, namely its desire to dot the Australian landscape with nuclear power stations, the sizes of which are yet to be disclosed.

While trying to come to grips with the LNP’s nuclear strategy, Liam O’Neill. Israel is a terrorist State. took a swipe at the Insiders panel for looking for points of favour in Peter Dutton’s strategy….

… while Agnes Mack shared a Glen Le Lievre effort and Terry Sweetman and RonnyB backed some outfit called CSIRO in debunking the LNP’s nuclear plans.

Okay, let’s round out this second look at the Xcrements of the past week by dipping some shit on some of our unfavourite pollies, present, past and soon to be past.

Here’s Skyowl with a timely reminder – and we at The Bug think it should be a timely daily reminder – of one of Barnaby Joyce’s great achievements in his time in the Big house…

… while Margie Jones had Tim Wilson in her rear sights and Metta Bhavana etc, etc, saw future job opportunities for Holly Hughes now that she’s been shunted down to an unwinnable spot on the NSW Senate ticket for the next election. What a tragedy!

Finally, here’s Ming The Merciless to remind us that some good things have been achieved by the Albanese government over the past two years.
