Long live the Gina Rinehart effect!
Our Xcrement-of-the-Week judges have decided not to award just the one outstanding piece of xcrement but to jointly honour all those who came up with Gina Rinehart memes this past week or so.
They salute all those who have helped the world move on from The Barbra Streisand Effect to what is now known around the globe at The Gina Rinehart Effect! Well done, Gina! You gorgeous, loveable, thing, you!!
As we reproduce some of these beauties, they are being highlighted in some cases by Xers unsure of who created the memes that have rightly taken their fancy. So at this end, we’ll try to fix that as we move through the day.
Let’s run with the montage shown at top. And, yes, our judges might have gone with the Vikki Campion/Beetrooter meme at a pinch if they had been forced to select one outright winner. Has there ever been a mainstream media columnist whose writing talents have been totally, tragically, completely, inversely proportionate to the shape of her lovely legs and the mysteries that lay between them? But then, how could you dismiss Gina the Hutt or the clever King Charles riff? All worthy joint winners!
We think Keep it Real might be honouring one of TOM RED’s wonderful contributions? If need be we’ll correct if and when we can.
We do know that the meme promoted by Richard Tuffin was from the wonderful mind of TOM RED! And, yes, we accept it didn’t take an enormous amount of investigating reporting skills to work that one out.

And this piece of fine xcrement from Pup Fiction suggests this clever Picasso-based effort might be his own? The National Poor Trait Gallery indeed!
Chris Free Palestine shared the meme about the crowds likely to now be very happy to wait hours to see the two Gina portraits hanging so shamelessly in the National Gallery of Australia…
… while Andrew Gardiner’s effort paid homage to the finest journalist ever to come out of Gympie and Peter Murphy plugged another meme from the endlessly creative and clever TOM RED!
