When the WA grandmother bashing story blew up in Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s face this past week, our Xcreta-of-the-Week judges didn’t have to look far for a suitable winner and that was Aaron Dodd, Contrarian (at top and below).

How utterly meme of Aaron. Then again, has any living thing ever had more things blow up in his face than the poor old coyote in the roadrunner cartoons? So Dutts is in good company.
Aaron is, of course, referring to the news that among those who allegedly assaulted that WA lady to within an inch of her life was a man released by Dutton himself while in government, not someone forced to be released by a High Court decision. Big diff, people.
Others eager to press down the plunger on that bundle of dynamite included Carol Kirkby, bradpsychology and Craig Hill.

Angry Goddess and Ewart Dave roped in the plight of a certain family now happily living in Biloela to highlight Dutton’s highly politicised approach to shoring up votes … sorry… to keeping Australians safe.

And amante2 had some wise words of advice for that endangered WA screeching parrot species Michaelia Cash and Smh 1962 poked fun at a Dan Tehan article that called for Labor heads to roll!

Wow, Smh 1962! To say Tehan’s article didn’t age well would win The Bug‘s understatement of the year award if we had one!
With Jim Chalmers’ third Labor budget speech looming tomorrow night, our judges thought some timely reminders were needed of what political life in Australia was like when the only side of politics that knows how to run economies well was in charge!
Take it away, Sassy Leo, Rupert’s Conscience and Craig Hill (yes, him again and why not?).

TO BE CONTINUED: Tomorrow, how the Xcrement flowed freely after Angus Taylor appeared on the ABC Insiders program and what some Xers thought of Aunty’s new Weekend Breakfast hosts! Plus other stuff.
