Bonza resumes regional routes

BUSINESS NEWS:

Embattled Bonza Airlines will today announce the resumption of services to regional Australian centres following a lightning-fast company restructure.

A Bonza spokesperson said the company had undertaken a rapid reassessment of its operations since suspending all services earlier this week.

The new business model would allow Bonza to honour all tickets previously bought by its customers.

“The reassessment of our operations has resulted in the purchase and immediate deployment of a fleet of new air craft (main picture) that will very soon start carrying passengers to and from all of our regular regional destinations,” the spokesperson said.

“Passengers will enjoy the same level of service for the very same fares, although individual flight times on all routes will be a little longer.”

The spokesperson rejected suggestions that Bonza was trying hoodwink passengers by passing off passenger coaches as aircraft while continuing to price tickets at airline rates.

“We have been at pains to ensure we present the new and revamped Bonza accurately and factually to our customers,” the spokesperson said.

“We have obtained legal advice that we can describe our new fleet as ‘air craft’ since they will be travelling at speed through air,” the spokesperson said.

“The tickets we issue once we resume services will make that very clear. They will also make passengers aware that all of our flights will be undertaken at very, very low altitudes,” the spokesperson said.
