MEDIA NEWS:
Editor of the newsletter of the Bowen Hills branch of the LNP, Chris Jones, is expected to be released from hospital today after being admitted to hospital following his collapse late on Monday night.
An ambulance was called to the branch’s building (below) shortly after the first edition of its Courier-Mail newsletter rolled off the presses.

An eyewitness said one of the first copies of Tuesday’s edition was handed to Mr Jones who smiled broadly after scanning its front page and page 4 story. (below)

“But suddenly he dropped the copy of the paper he was holding and staggered around, bumping into furniture, before collapsing on the floor,” the source who requested anonymity told The Bug.
An ambulance was then called and Mr Jones was taken to the nearby Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he was admitted as a patient of a private hypocritologist.
The medical specialist, who also asked for anonymity, attributed Mr Jones’s collapse to Tuesday’s front-page story in the branch newsletter.
The story was an attack on the Labor Party government of Queensland Premier Steven Miles by peak building industry group, the Master Builders’ Association (MBA), which claimed the government’s public infrastructure program was hurting the residential development sector by causing building workforce shortages and materials supply scarcities.
“As a hypocritologist I can see the risk factors involved in publishing such a story,” the doctor said.
“It came after weeks of attacks by the LNP newsletter on the Miles Government for not building a $3.4 billion sports stadium for the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.
“Yet apparently the argument peddled by MBA doesn’t apply to the stadium.
“So inevitably when Mr Jones read the story the level of hypocrisy in his bloodstream involuntarily rose to a level that caused his collapse.
“But luckily for anyone afflicted by his condition, known as hyperhypocrisy, any such crisis or collapse as Mr Jones suffered never lasts for long.
“I’m certain he’ll be out of hospital and back at his desk by tomorrow.”
When asked to describe Mr Jones’s current condition, the hypocritologist responded: “Critical. But mainly of the Miles Labor government.”
