WASHINGTON, DC: US President Joe Biden is set to announce he is not quitting the November presidential race despite stinging criticism from the very top of Australian political non-journalism.

“The president knows he’s got no hope following Greg Sheridan’s attack but he is stubbornly determined to give a second term his best shot,” a White House spokesperson said.

Appearing on Sky LNP News Australia and wearing a new cardigan he knitted especially for the occasion, Sheridan, The Australian‘s foreign editor, said Joe Biden was a “weak and mediocre president” who would lose in a “normal” election cycle to a normal candidate.

“The truth is that we’re a very, very long way away from the election, and I think what the polls suggest is it’s going to be a competitive election,” Mr Sheridan declared.
