Eras error prompts lawsuit

Organisers of Taylor Swift’s current Eras global tour are set to launch a multi-million-dollar lawsuit against News Crap Australia’s Sydney turdbloid the Daily Telegraph.

I understand the claim will allege that the newspaper is directly responsible for a massive shortfall in expected ticket sales for the four concerts Swift has scheduled at Sydney’s Accor Stadium at Olympic Park starting on Friday this week.

The claim is centred on a promotion run by the Tele in the lead-up to the Australian leg of her Eras world tour.

As a Tele insider explained to me, the News Crap Australia turdbloid’s promotion featured five double-page posters published on consecutive days which, when assembled by Swift fans, produced a life-size poster of the US singer. (main picture)

“The posters were published from the feet up over five days, with the last one meant to feature Taylor Swift’s head,” the insider told me. (below)

“Unfortunately, like all Murdoch turdbloids, the Daily Tele is run on a shoestring by a small bunch of middle aged right-wing blokes totally out of touch with the modern world.

“So when the last poster was due to be printed someone in the production process told someone else to – and I quote – ‘get that picture of that screeching blonde’.

“Unfortunately, the result (below) ended up frightening anyone who opened the paper at that page, especially Swift fans who had been collecting the previous editions to make their own posters.

“The end result has also been that those same fans ended up cancelling their tickets to the concert or decided against buying any tickets.

“That’s led Taylor Swift’s management to sue the Daily Tele for so far unknown damages, but you can bet it’ll be in the millions,” the insider told me.

When I contacted the Daily Telegraph editor Ben English he refused to apologise to Taylor Swift or her fans.

“Why would I apologise for something that is clearly the fault of the Albanese Government and Labor?” he said.
