Across the MSM – including Sunday’s ABC Insiders program – this nation’s journalists seemed remarkably sympathetic to the Beetrooter’s plight. Yes, we know! We can only imagine the depth of the coverage and total outrage were Joyce to have been a Labor minister!

Here are Andrew Gardiner and amante2 with very relevant comparisons as to how Newscorpse handled a supposed fall involving former Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews and bugger all column centimetres if any at all over a pissed pollie’s stupidity.

May we pause here momentarily for a bit of editorialising. Various sections of the mainstream mediocre tried their best to deflect blame for this incident to the video taker (and we assume others) who apparently did not stop to help. Who would stop to help a fuckknuckle swearing profusely on his phone? The deflectors also seem totally uninterested at to why Ms Campion – whom we can assume knew what prescription medicines Joyce was allegedly on – didn’t call an ambulance or summon some other form of help herself.
