What makes a true Australian patriot? And once you’ve got a full grasp of what they must look like and act, our Xcreta-of-the-Week judges couldn’t go past this Mike Carlton X post musings (at top and below) that debunk Peta Credlin’s own version of a true Aussie patriot.

Let’s digest Credlin’s vision first. The columnist employed by Newscorpse because of her immense and intimate knowledge of Australian politics – she did after all single-handedly make Tony Abbot what he is today – a laughing stock of a shit exPM – seems to be able to spot a true Aussie from far, far away.

In the weeks leading up to Australia Day, they’ll be attaching Aussie flags to their utes or cars, wearing that flag all over their body and getting together as a group throwing some sort of salute – a bit like a Yank marine salute although no-one’s quite sure – but anything to avoid a Nazi salute fine.

Credlin spots them immediately as this nation’s true patriots – and what does she instinctively know about their exact opposites? Those who hate Australia! And that’s the growing number of Aussies who understand the angst felt by our First Nations people about what January 26 means to them: namely Invasion Day.

And why more and more Aussies think our national day should be changed – and it’s no big fucking deal when you think about how the day has shifted and drifted even in recent times.

No, Credlin easily spots those who hate Australia. She calls them woke. We say to all you Wokers out there: remain very proud of yourselves for thinking clearly about a national issue and coming up with a sensible, logical solution. Meanwhile, Credlin’s true patriots will be out there telling our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in no uncertain terms to fuck right off

JayJay and Rick have managed to see Australia Day for what Credlin is incapable of seeing it as, courtesy of the sad reality that she only uses the far-right part of her brain, which neatly explains why she got her highly paid Newscorpse columnist gig.
