Let them all slowly rot away

My main argument over time against a royal commission into News Corps Australia’s activities here is a fairly simple one.

As Napoleon Boneaparte reportedly observed: “Never interfere with an enemy that’s making mistakes”. Or something like that.

Sure, Newscorpse’s total disregard for the basic tenets of journalism as its print media outlets and the likes of Sky Views Australia work their hardest to make the Albanese government a one-termer is a total disgrace, why interrupt them when, not only are they shit hopeless at such a mission, but they are doing irreparable damage to their brands.

For a long time, I’ve called it the worst – or maybe best? – case of long-term business suicide I’ve ever watched.

For make no mistake, Rupe’s rotten rags and his ratbag sprouters on SkyNews haven’t turned an election for yonks. Yet the poor deluded bastards think they retain enormous clout when it comes to swaying voter opinion.

And here’s my other reason for letting them get on with their death wish: their rabid support for the LNP makes for lazy LNP politicians who also get conned when they see their own stupid stands being highlighted across the various Newscorpse platforms and others.

And there’s no better example than Peter Dutton’s current demand for Aussies to boycott Woolworths for not stocking Australia Day cooker-memorabilia.

Let’s just soak in the fact that this NoMan with no real agenda thinks pandering to cookers/proud boys/Maga-ers/conspiracy theorists/ First Nations people haters and religious nutters thinks he can take back Teal seats with such dribble.

And why? Because the moment this bullshit starts dribbling down his chin, Newscorpse, Nine’s shock jocks and Seven West Media outlets start championing his cause as if it alone could win the 2025 federal election for the LNP.

So I say leave them to that task! Lightweight political morons led on by mainstream mediocre dunces seemingly hellbent on putting themselves out of business, later if not sooner.
