Israel defends fake rape images!

THE ISRAEL/HAMAS WAR:

Israel has remained defiantly unapologetic after images it released overnight depicting kibbutz residents on the country’s south being raped and their corpses mutilated by “murderous, terrorist Hamas intruders” on October 7 were proved to be fake.

The graphic images (at top) were released at a media call by Israel Defence Forces international spokesperson Lt. Col. Richard Hecht (below, far right) who declared “that many other images were simply too horrific to share even though they brutally expose the sadistic barbarity of Hamas and their defilement of innocent human corpses”.

But an investigative reporter in the United States has since revealed that the two images are in fact details from The Rape of the Sabine Women (below), painted between 1727-1729 by the 18th Century European master Pietro da Cortona that now hangs in the Pinacoteca Capitolina, Rome. The oil painting, that is, not da Cortona.

In Tel Aviv, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended the release of the images, saying he had others.

“Look, we all accept that truth is often the first casualty of war and, of course, we don’t defend or endorse that. We’ll certainly be investigating how this happen and will take all steps to ensure that images that are so easily debunked are never, ever, used again.

“But there surely needs to be a timely reminder each and every day of the 1200 innocent Israeli men, women and children slaughtered by Hamas on October 7 to explain why we are systematically clearing the entire Gaza Strip of Palestinians.”

He urged Australian politicians such as Tony Abbott, Scott Morrison, John Howard and Richard Marles who have repeatedly said Israel has a right to defend itself and “everything we’re doing in Gaza and in the West Bank is entirely within the rules of war and entirely kosher” to visit the scenes of the 7 October massacres as often as they can.

The spokesperson then sobbed uncontrollably as he handed out images of the Holocaust and repeatedly uttered the Hebrew equivalent of “lest we forget”.
