News Crap Australia’s Brisbane monopoly turdbloid The Courier-Mail today continues its practice of acting as the principal public relations agency for Queensland’s LNP opposition.
Its weekly political gossip column (main picture) it reflected on LNP leader David Crisafulli’s appearance at a Queensland Media Club lunch last week.
That appearance itself was the subject of a large display ad in the Courier… sorry, a double-page news story in the Courier as reported by this column.
But today’s effort recapping an incident at the lunch led off with several laudatory comments about Crisafulli’s performance. (below)

The item leads off by admitting the very, very positive comments emanated from “business boffins and party faithful”.
One named source, former LNP Brisbane lord mayor SallyAnne Atkinson was quoted as saying the Opposition Leader’s performance was “terrific” and the best she had seen him perform.
Well, as someone said many years ago, she would say that wouldn’t she?
Same goes for the “business boffins”.
Of course another perspective is that if a fairly pedestrian presentation by Mr Crisafulli was his best ever, what does it say about him?
Our MGH teams suggest that the reporters who compile the column might have better served their readers by not buttonholing LNP royalty like SAA if they were seeking a genuine assessment of an LNP pollie’s performance.
But then again, they do work for The Courier-Mail, AKA the newsletter of the Bowen Hills branch of the LNP.
