BUSHFIRE CRISIS:
US media mogul Rupert Murdoch is making a direct and personal donation to help battle the bushfire crisis enveloping southern Queensland communities.
Mr Murdoch ordered urgent modifications to his personal jet from the New York-based News Crap International VIP fleet to widen its fuselage and convert it to a water bombing firefighting aircraft. (main picture)
Local sources within News Crap Australia said Mr Murdoch was motivated by recent bushfire coverage in the Brisbane turdbloid The Courier-Mail.
“Rupert is very concerned about the impact of the bushfires,” the source said. “As he always does, he has been watching carefully the coverage given to the fires by The Courier-Mail.
“He has been very disturbed at the stories the Courier has splashed over its front page about the bushfires in the past fortnight.
“It prompted him to begin modifications to his News Crap personal VIP plane so that it can fly to Queensland and help extinguish the flames.
“That will mean The Courier-Mail can then get back to its normal coverage promoting the Liberal National Party and out-of-control youth crime as well as the daily stories attacking Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk that were running before the bushfires started. (below)
The News Crap Australia source said the cost of the plane’s conversion was not known.
“But whatever it is, Rupert is lucky that Channel Nine News in Brisbane has offered to share costs so it too can get back to its core business of publicising the LNP and bringing down the state Labor government in 12 months time,” the source said.
