POLICE NEWS:
A Brisbane woman is blaming Israel for the death of her husband in a missile strike at their Upper Mount Gravatt home yesterday afternoon.
Mrs Betty Sneffle (below at left) said the death of her husband Barry (below at right) suggested the Israeli Government was undertaking illegal surveillance of Australian citizens and delivering a disproportionate response to those who supported Palestinians.

However, a spokesperson for the Israeli Embassy in Canberra denied the allegation.
Grandfather of 12 Barry Sneffle died instantly when the missile struck his car (main picture) as he was reversing out of his driveway.
“I didn’t at first know why, but Barry was very excited yesterday. I only found out just before he was killed that he and his best mate Garry and others were organising a barbecue at their bowls club to welcome some recently arrived Palestinian families who’ve settled in Brisbane to escape the violence in the Middle East,” Mrs Sneffle said.
“Apparently all the blokes were sharing catering duties – Barry was tasked with bringing the dip and Garry was providing the fruit juice.
“He set off mid-afternoon yesterday in our very dilapidated and barely roadworthy old Fiat.
“At that stage I didn’t know where he was going but as he tried to start the car he stuck his head out of the driver’s window and yelled: ‘I’m in charge of hummus and I’m taking this bomb to Gazza to get the juice.’
“It was just seconds later that the missile hit and Barry was gone,” an emotional Mrs Sneffle explained.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said investigations into the incident were continuing.
