The White House is under pressure to admit to an apparently deliberate attempt to mislead US media outlets and the wider public over biting incidents initially blamed on President Joe Biden’s pet German shepherd dog.
This week numerous stories appeared in American news outlets and elsewhere in the world based on a freedom of information (FOI) request which allegedly showed Secret Service agents guarding Mr Biden and his family had been bitten on at least 10 occasions by the family’s dog named Commander between October 2022 and February this year. However, a White House whistle blower has come forward to debunk the story. The informant who requested anonymity told reporters that the “official” White House response was “wrong and deliberately misleading”.
“The fact is that poor old Commander, the dog, is just a scapegoat,” the source said.
“The White House released the emails, but it didn’t tell anyone that up until February this year the name ‘Commander’ was actually the Secret Service’s code word for the President himself.
“So those 10 biting incidents were actually inflicted on agents by the President.
“It’s something the White House deliberately didn’t clarify when it was asked about the outcome of the FOI application.
“The President’s staff preferred to let the media and the public draw the false conclusion that poor old Commander the German shepherd was to blame. But he’s as placid as all get out. Wouldn’t hurt a fly.
“The President on the other hand is known – at least within the walls of the White House – for flying off the handle and sinking his, albeit false, teeth into people who get in his way when he’s in a foul mood.
“Luckily the issue has now been addressed and the Secret Service is under instructions not to allow the President to use his false teeth at all unless he’s eating.” (main picture)
The White House informant explained that the Secret Service used code names for all of the members of the Biden family under their protection.
“The fact that the President’s code name was the same as his pet dog was just a coincidence. It’s never happened before, but I guess it was inevitable at some stage.
“But luckily the name problem has been resolved and their shouldn’t be any problems in the future with the President’s new code name, Zimmer,” the informant said.
