Dan stays in MSM sights

Yesterday, our first batch of the tweets of the last week concentrated on issues around The Voice debate so before we leave that topic, let’s hear from Victoria Fielding again and Rupert’s Conscience Votes Yes.

Bewdifully put, both of you.

Now, onto other hot topics from the past week or so, and there were none hotter than the mainstream mediocre’s own ongoing hatefest with Dictator Dan, aka Daniel Andrews, the Victorian Premier.

Boy, oh, boy, is he finished as a political force with his decision to axe the 2026 Commonwealth Games! Well, at least that’s the opinion of Newscorpse and Newscorpse Lite (Nine Entertainment Co.).

We at The Bug think joan kunze was spot on in describing the majority of the MSM in Oz as a grotesquerie, while Glenn Gibson reminded us all of the LNP’s unblemished record when it came to spending sports dollars wisely when in government.

Scott Burchill – Dog bless his left-leaning cotton socks – dove (dived?) a little deeper to see things this way.

amante2 marvelled at the genius of Caleb Bond, who continued to win the hearts and minds of Victorians by basically calling them mindless, stupid sheep. Keep up the good work, Caleb. Sales of The Australian and Herald Sun in Victoria will contiunue to haemorrhage under your brilliant strategy.

Early last week, Newspoll landed, meaning we could all stare on in gobsmacked amazement once more as the LNP publicists at Newscorpse painted the results in the best possible light for their clients.

When you consider that the Labor government moved back to a 10-point lead in two-party-preferred terms – 55-45 – and Albanese improved his positions as preferred PM, was it any wonder bradpsychology had this to share?

Famous retired journo Tony Koch brought the laughable Simon Benson into the mix.

Now it is true that Labor’s primary vote dipped a few points but the bottom line is that propagandists like Simon Benson – the man who eagerly helped Morrison’s mob sell Robodebt, the scheme that claimed many lives – and most of the other LNP brownnosers at Newscorpse would not have touched that fact with a ten-foot pole if Morrison’s mob had somehow limped back into power last year and that primary drop had been theirs. Labor’s vote was still well above its primary vote last year that gave it majority in its own right.

Speaking of Newscorpse brownnosers, the other great news last week – for the ALP and left/central politics in Australia generally – is that that political genius Peta Credlin – yep, the lady who made Tony Abbott what he is today – thinks the LNP has to move further to the right to regain the seats they lost last year to the multicoloured attack from teal, red, green and indie-hued forces.

ajgarduneresq@threads.net rejoiced at that state of affairs and why shouldn’t he?

And Peter Murphy suggested a certain someone should follow Kathryn Campbell out the door.

Okay, let’s finish with something even a little more light-hearted than Tony “We can’t give the Abos anything unless we Whities get it too!” Abbott’s mental capacity for decent, fair and rational thinking. Enjoy Rohan Connolly’s zinger in response to Piers Morgan’s pitiful plea to his own particular magic sky daddy before the Old Trafford Test was washed out, meaning the Aussies retained the Ashes.
