Let’s kick of The Bug‘s tweets of the week review with one of the big events toward the end of the cycle … the Fadden by-election on Saturday.
And our judges just loved this week’s winning entry, one dripping with sarcasm yet delivered with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, from Jo Dyer (above and below) in response to a tweet from Peter Dutton.
Well done, Jo! Beautiful homage, you’ve paid there, to the former member for the seat.
And just think about the wider ramification behind Jo’s tweet for a second. There is Dutton boasting that the voters of Fadden have considered as one of their two main gripes the state government issue of crime.
How fucking stupid are far too many of the good people of Fadden, hey?

Also buying into the by-election and what it didn’t mean for The Spudster were Rob White, Amante 2 and Victoria Fielding.

Belinda Jones, the leading independent candidate in the seat on Saturday, provided some interesting maths…

… while Mike Carlton expressed sympathy – as only he can – for Andrew Bolt’s interpretation of events…

Monty saw fault with another section of the Australian mainstream mediocre…

… as did Sahar Adatia with David Speers’ efforts on election night…

… while Mr Jim McAlpine AM and Peter Murphy in conversation, and the wonderful RonniSalt had a more general view of our current woeful, shameful MSM.

Bugger it, seeing he’s on fire, let’s give Peter Murphy a second bite of the cherry, being a little more ABC specific this time.

And before we leave the MSM, Billy back in the black lined up the one-and-only Peta Credlin for special mention.

On other issues, Paul Syvret spotted a different, far more friendly dynamic at play when two world leaders met the other day…

… while Guy Morgan reckons he’s spotted quite different forces driving the Yes and No votes over The Voice. We more than suspect he’s spot bloody on.

Henry The Democratic Socialist thought he had the Liar from the Shire well and truly wrapped up, while jim axon nailed The Crook from Cook with some choice words.

And let’s finish off with two contributions from our occasionally potty-mouthed friend, MFW…

Fucking shunts indeed.
