Dear Erica
For months and months all I have heard and read about on the news or in the papers is the idea of a voice to parliament and government. I am a white, conservative, rather well-off Christian, with a secure job. So why is a voice to parliament and government important to someone like me?
Confused, Coorparoo
Dear Confused
A voice to parliament and government is very important for people like you and me who belong to a highly marginalised group in our community.
It is so important that we as conservative Christians, the “Christian right” if you will, have a strong voice in the development of the policies adopted by conservative political parties and, if we can, other parties as well especially when radical heathens such as the Labor Party are in office.
Just the other day I was reading through statistics from the last national census undertaken by the Australian Bureau of Statistics in 2021 and found a very disturbing graph. (below)

The top blue line in the graph charts the alarming downward trend between 1971 and 2021 in the percentage of our Australian population identifying as Christians in each five-yearly Census.
The middle line shows the consequent rise in the proportion of people who declare “no religion”.
The bottom line shows a slight increase in “other religions” reflecting the uptick in people from other nations arriving here, probably by boat, and bringing their own exotic religions with them along with the real risk of infecting the beliefs of us and our fellow Christian Australians.
That’s just one of the threats to our nation’s future and our own individual future’s that we must combat.
As you will see in terms of the line indicating the percentage of Christians there is a big gap between 1971 and 2021 Census.
It is up to us to do all we can to close the gap and we can best do that by ensuring we have a voice to parliament and government through controlling the natural party of government, the Liberal Party and dictating its far-right faith-based policies.
I hope this clears up your confusion, especially since there is that other silly ”voice” proposal doing the rounds at the moment which is just a dangerous, risky, and unnecessary idea designed to give influence to a racist woke minority out of all proportion to their small numbers.
