As if it were needed, News Crap Australia’s daily Brisbane turdbloid The Courier-Mail has delivered further proof of the Murdoch media’s role as advertising agency for Peter Dutton and his Liberal Party.
Just take a look at the item that appeared in Monday’s paper based on comments by Dutton critical of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for “yelling” at voters when prosecuting the “yes” case for a First Nations’ voice to federal parliament. (below)

Yep, this from the bloke who has called the entire referendum process a con job! Leaving aside the strident nature in which Dutton has “debated” the issue, our Media Glass House researchers wonder why the claim was presented as fact and not Dutton’s view.
As they point out, putting quote marks around “yelling” would have been so simple. Just like we did above with no trouble and little effort.
Or even better, how about this?

We don’t have the Courier’s fonts but do you know how long it took us to create this heading? Not even a minute.
It would have taken The Courier-Mail less time than that, provided it had any desire whatsoever in the first place to produce such a professional heading with some legitimate journalistic intent and/or practice behind it. Silly, silly us!

Further, further proof of News Crap’s role as Dutton’s personal promotional machine was delivered yesterday by the national broadshit The Australian’s online Politics Now blog. (below)

It carried a story uploaded just after 1.00pm telling readers that Dutton had “repeated his confusion and dismay” at the Albanese Government’s decision not to send Hawkei armoured vehicles to Ukraine.
They inserted the word “repeated” because Dutton had said the same thing the day before and his comments had been carried by numerous outlets including another arm of the Murdoch ad agency network, Sky News. (below)

So why would The Oz cover his comments a day late? Did Dutton or someone on his behalf claim The Oz should have given them a run the day prior and the broadshit decided it needed to play catch-up to keep its major client happy?

News Crap Australia also came to the aid of Australia’s far-right political operators like Dutton with a column piece by specialist Liberal Party copywriter Peta Credlin bemoaning the fact that some school children in the UK have been insisting that they identify themselves as cats and their school has bowed to their wishes.
The item in Murdoch turdbloids such as Sydney’s Daily Telegraph last week – seen below under the mandatory anti-Albanese rant – is a story that fits perfectly with the far-right’s “gender wars” and helps stir up its “base”.

It’s also a story that has surfaced with monotonous regularity in other parts of the nation as well as in overseas media markets. In Brisbane the additional and colourful claim was made that children were insisting on using kitty litter trays.
The only problem is that whenever it has surfaced it has proved to be a complete urban myth – totally untrue.
In the UK case that had Ms Credlin so agitated, the school itself has repeatedly stated that the story is false and that it arose out of the misinterpretation on social media (where else?) of a hypothetical classroom debate.
In the United States the same story has popped up in various location and again, some basic journalistic work proved it to be fake.
But that never stops far-right commentators like Ms Credlin spreading outrage and generating equally outrageous reader responses which, after all, is what a good ad agency is meant to do.
