Aussie MSM awarded VC!

… for vicious coverage!

The Bug‘s tweets of the week judges when they sat down last night were once again confronted with a grim reality – Australia truly must have one of the most despicable, despairing, desperate mainstream mediocres in the world.

The past week saw Newscorpse outlets – and others – spring to the defence of Ben Roberts-Smith and try to deflect attention from that war villain’s woes by an orchestrated attack on Brittany Higgins and anyone who ever had the temerity to support her, including a minister who possibly misled the house but that’s not important right now.

For that reason, our judges laid the blue riband sash across two tweets … one each from Greg Jericho and The Trolling Stones (top and below). Well done to both.

Any number of others could have easily joined those two on the podium so take it away, Shaun Reardon, Victoria Fielding, Antfarmer and Craig Hill.

Eddy Jokovich and Coalition Tea Lady were two who saw that the ABC sadly wasn’t much better than the Newscorpse mob…

Multi-Walkley award winner and national media hall of famer Tony Koch offered this general view…

… as did Quentin Dempster and Stephen Mayne in this exchange.

Riff Raff provided a tasty metaphor…

… and JayJay decided to spoil any number of breakfasts by including this dreadful image to remind us all of the way things used to be.

Also in the news this week was Reserve Bank of Australia governor Philip Lowe, who appears to have been making a concerted effort over recent times not to be reappointed.

Ben Eltham, Miss Polly and Coalition Tea Lady had their spray.

And let’s end with an image that should stay with us for the rest of the day, courtesy of the colourful, creative words of Muz De Sac in response to a tweet from Squizz.
