SYDNEY: As a special treat for his final Q&A program on Monday night Stan Grant has agreed not to interrupt guests with his own long-winded opinions on the various subjects du jour.

His final show is expected to last 12 to 15 minutes and the ABC is yet to decide what will be used to fill out the rest of the hour.

I can also report that David Speers, host of the ABC’s weekly political panel show Insiders, will take over from Stan Grant as Q&A host.

It is understood Speers has been warned by producers of the show not to interrupt Q&A guests with his own long-winded opinions on the various subjects du jour as he does on his regular Sunday program.
