Marese ~ I’m voting Yes for the voice is a little lucky to be this week’s tweet-of-the-week winner if we are to be perfectly honest, as we sometimes are.
Firstly, she’s only plugging – and deservedly so – a meme whose ownership is unknown. (at top and below) But it’s the perfect lead-in to our first batch of tweets that “honour” the woman who made Tony Abbott who he is today – a laughing stock, has-been of a very average ex-prime minister.

We’re only going to run a sample of the tweets expressing justifiable outrage over Cretin’s article in The Sunday Telegraph. Take it away, Billy back in the black, Peter Murphy and Amante2

Before we leave the rightings of Peta Cretin, here’s Brent Hodgson’s take on another of her articles, this time defending Moira Deeming, who has been booted out of the Victorian Liberal parliamentary party room for wanting to sue her party leader. A tealy tale well spotted, Brent.

Staying on matters Victorian, Quentin Dempster and Robert Ryrie had this to say about two of the southern state’s unfavourite sons…..

… while a couple of the Liberal Party’s federal luminaries caught the attention of Peter Klages and Derek Robinson.

Past Liberal prime ministers may be gone but not forgotten by marquelawyers and Tony.

Last week’s Budget caught the eye of Solo Monk and SlurryNewsAust…

… while Jo Mills has obviously been following that ACT royal-commish-type examination into how all sides behaved, particularly in the lead-up to the Bruce Lehrmann rape trial. Another tweet suggested only one juror was hanging out for an acquittal; possibly a chap clutching dodgy material on the incidence of false rape accusations? Hmmm. We still think Lehrmann should slink off into the distance and lie low for a good while. Some decades would be sensible.

Mr Denmore cuts to the chase – and clean through the neck – with some historical thoughts on the coronation of King Chucky the Third.

And let’s finish off with a nice little Tweet exchange between MargieJay and Miss Polly after the ABC’s Andrew Probyn had a little sook over that nasty social media platform that is the subject of this column.

Can we just remind Probyn that the great majority of Australia’s mainstream media supported the return of the Morrison government. He can rail against Twitter as much as he likes, but if he thinks the MSM’s performance during that 2022 election period and since has been all tickety-boo and above board and the sector continues to show exemplary journalistic standards including the Cretin’s column at the top of this piece, then he’s a truly a lost cause.
The Bug will continue to laud the Twitter citizen journalists below and above ground who played their part in ridding Australia of that dreadful, lazy, corrupt government.
