Speaking of the Murdoch media – which we weren’t but often do and will again right now – here’s the key take-out of the federal budget “analysis” written by one of its well-promoted, well-heeled, and well-rewarded employees. (main picture)
It’s good to know what Peta Credlin thinks of the recent budget – although our Media Glass House researchers say they knew exactly what she thought of it before it was delivered, or even drafted months ago.

But now she has added to the public’s knowledge by telling readers of News Crap Australia’s turdbloids what she thinks of her fellow Australians in need of some support in extremely tough times. They’re all bludgers, apparently.
Admittedly Ms Credlin may not have penned the headline but whoever did certainly got the message she intended.
No doubt Rupert himself would find nothing objectionable about it and, as he often claims, in the internet age media outlets now offer a range of views.
Certainly Ms Credlin is just one of the many far-right wing commentators the far-right wing Murdoch empire employs across its far-right wing stable of far-right wing fishwrappers to its far right-wing “after dark” commentators peddling far-right wing conspiracy theories on its far-right-wing Sky News channel.

Also in the wake of the federal budget last week, columnist for The Guardian Australia Greg Jericho penned a think-piece explaining why he thinks the surplus announced by Treasurer Jim Chalmers in financially challenging times was acknowledged yet not raved about.
A line from his column noted: “There was a sort of glorious irony that a budget surplus has been delivered after so many years of deficits and no one really cared too much.”
His work was topped by the headline below…..

Our MGH researchers think that perhaps the gift of a dictionary is in order for whoever wrote it.
They have even considered a whip-around themselves to buy one. Anything that may prevent them from being nonplussed in the future.

In the good old days newspapers employed living and breathing people to read and correct when necessary the raw copy filed by reporters.
They also employed other actual people to proofread the final version of the paper before it went to press.
Clearly this isn’t the case any longer, as evidenced by this item in the most recent edition of the Murdoch turdbloid The Sunday Mail in Brisbane. (below)
We suspect the long-gone people mentioned above would have prevented such a blue.

Our MGH teams say this item falls into the category of “rewriting history to cover up our sloppy shallow thoughtless and vindictive anti-Labor reporting”.
At the weekend the Speaker of the Queensland Parliament Curtis Pitt announced he was taking leave to deal with physical and mental health issues.
Today’s edition of the Murdoch turdbloid The Courier-Mail ran an item including comments supporting Mr Pitt’s decision by a state cabinet minister. (below)

The minuscule item included the explanatory line: “The Courier-Mail reported last week that the Speaker was missing when parliament began in Mr Pitt’s home town Cairns.”
Ah, no it didn’t, our MGH teams point out. The turdbloid last week actually gave a big spread to the story on Mr Pitt’s later arrival to the regional parliamentary sitting complete with big pics in a way that deliberately gave readers the impression that he was hungover after a night of hard drinking.
