CANBERRA: Commonwealth Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus is recovering well in a Canberra hospital after emergency surgery several nights ago.
This morning, the plucky minister gave our reporter the thumbs up from his private suite in the E. G. Whitlam Private Hospital for Labor Luminaries in leafy Manuka.

Mr Dreyfus split his sides laughing early Tuesday afternoon after hearing that Michaelia Cash (pictured) had been appointed shadow attorney-general in a ministerial reshuffle by Opposition leader Peter Dutton.
Mr Dreyfus is expected to make a full recovery.

SYDNEY: The publication of further extracts of former Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s steamy bodice-ripper The Master of Marketing on Australia’s No1 family netzine site is now in the hands of national censors.
The Bug can disclose that The Film and Literature Board of Review stepped in after we published last week an extract of Morrison’s first foray into romance novel writing.
We thought the content was suitable for the nation’s favourite family netzine but admitted then that the extract promised for this week got even steamier and more explicit than activities described in the first release tease. Still, we were quite frankly furious when the board redacted large swathes of the second offering, making the exercise almost pointless and depriving Mr Morrison of the chance to fully display his creative literary genius.
We have appealed the board’s decision and we hope to run that extract this Saturday. – Editor
