Murdoch marries in secret

EXCLUSIVE:

The Bug has confirmed a previously rumoured theory to explain the collapse of media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s latest engagement.

A News Corp International spokesperson refused to comment on the widely circulated suggestion that the end of Mr Murdoch’s latest engagement to former right-wing radio host Ann Lesley Smith left him free to propose to and marry controversial Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Unconfirmed photos of their alleged wedding have been circulating in US media circles. (main picture)

But The Bug has now confirmed the rumours of the recent Murdoch-Carlson nuptials.

A source within Fox News said the couple’s wedding occurred late last week under New York state’s same-sex marriage laws.

“The marriage is directly linked to the involvement of Fox News and its parent company News Corp International in the multi-billion-dollar lawsuit launched by the Dominion voting machine company,” the Fox source said.

“Rupert was advised that under US law a man and wife, or these days a spouse and their spouse, cannot be compelled to give evidence against each other in a lawsuit.

“His lawyer gave him that advice after examining the trail of revealing emails sent by Rupert and senior Fox News identities that have been released as part of the defamation action all of which strengthen Dominion’s claim that it was defamed by Fox reports of its voting machines supposedly ‘stealing’ votes for Donald Trump and giving them to Joe Biden at the 2020 presidential election.

“Rupert’s lawyer told him that Tucker Carlson’s emails were the ones that were most likely to carry the most weight in favour of Dominion’s argument.

“The lawyer advised that to be on the safe side Rupert should marry Carlson and the rest, as they say, is history.

“Unfortunately the lawyer Rupert has been consulting is Rudy Giuliani (below) so none of the advice he gave is actually legitimate, especially the bit about spouses not testifying against each other.

“Nevertheless, I’m told the newlyweds had a great honeymoon and are now happily ensconced at Rupert’s ranch in Montana where I am told they can’t keep their hands off each other,” the Fox source said.
