With the Robodebt Royal Commission completing its public hearings last Friday, The Bug‘s tweet-of-the-week judges unashamedly went looking for an entry this past week that went to the core nub of this disgusting, disgraceful scandal that killed countless innocent Australians.
And the answer to that was the disgusting, disgraceful, obnoxious Scott Morrison, whose grubby hands were all over this illegal and deadly non-debt scheme and whose government turned the Australian public service into a yellow, brownnosing, incompetent shadow of its former self.
So we say thanks to Pup Fiction (above and below) for this wonderful effort.

Yes, it’s Smoko/Smirko/the Crime Minister/the Liar from the Shire/the Crook from Cook, the man who’d chase a vote at anyone’s expense and not give a tinker’s cuss for innocent lives lost. The faux Christian who’s not a Christian’s stool sample.
Our tweets barrel was again awash with fierce criticism of our mainstream mediocre for largely ignoring the Robodebt RC’s daily outpourings from memory-challenged ministers and suckhole public servants all keen to throw someone – anyone else – under the bus.
Let’s here from two of the most respected journalists to come out of Queensland – Tony Koch and Quentin Dempster, the latter in an exchange with David Armsgtrong.

Politic@l Spinner also weighed in, mixing the rhetorical with the sarcastic!

Good points, Politic@l Spinner. Isn’t all politics local? Here we have a RC being held in Brisbane under the control of a hugely respected former Qld judge. And no real coverage from the LNP’s Bowen Hills branch! Oops, we think we just gave the game away. The Courier-Mail editor would have been putting out afternoon special editions if Robodebt had been a Labor Government scandal!
This week, like last week, the Twitterverse once again took aim at the ABC’s Insiders‘ almost total lack of coverage of the Robodebt RC since the program resumed its 2023 season.
Rex Hateley brought to our attention a truly funny meme by someone called Dee Starry. Well done, DS!

Others taking an almighty swipe at Insiders were Sahar Adatia and Eddy Jokovich.

And Steve Rogers- I see entitled people went back in time to make this clever observation.

The nation’s mainstream mediocre of course didn’t limit itself to Robodebt to make a fool of itself. Let’s welcome back Tony Koch, in conversation with Amante2.

Another highly respected former Queensland scribe Terry Sweetman found fault with the SMH‘s Red Alert, War is Nigh! splashes this past week.

And Solo Monk put all the recent angst over and faux MSM hysteria over Labor’s superannuation changes in perspective.

Okay, who else can we have fun to finish off with? Hey, why not a few Liberal politicians to cement The Bug‘s reputation as a soy-latte, inner-city, woke warrior pinko commie outfit.
Take it away, Tom etc etc #SecularSociety and Derek Robinson!

STOP PRESS: And just sneaking in on deadline as our barrel was about to be emptied, our dear friend Jane Caro shared some wise words from Mike Carlton!
